Every year, Calgary is home to a variety of different and exciting Holiday shopping festivals, and with so much to choose from, it’s tough to find the best ones. Though all Christmas markets are a fun way to find special gifts and get into the holiday spirit, here we have put together a short list of the markets happening between now and Christmas that really stand out to us.

Explore the historical grounds of Spruce Meadows and embrace the magical feeling of the holidays while you shop various items ranging from handcrafted goods and local homemade food to gifts imported from all around the world. This market invited vendors from all over the world; providing you with an amazing selection of holiday gifts.
Calgary Christmas MarketWhere: The Calgary Farmer’s Market, 510-77th Ave. SEWhen: Every Thursday-Sunday from November 16 to December 23Cost: Free admission
The Calgary Farmer’s Market is the year-round spot for special and unique finds but come November, it becomes a winter wonderland! The Calgary Christmas Market is the one-stop destination for everything on top of the table and under the tree this holiday season. If you regularly go to the Farmer’s Market, you can still find the year-round vendors. Seasonal vendors get added to the mix to provide an authentic holiday experience. Kids can get a photo with Santa in exchange for a donation to the Calgary Food Bank. The Calgary Christmas Market is an all-ages market sure to bring out the holiday spirit in all of us!

The Festival of Crafts is one of Calgary’s largest holiday shopping events. This fun festival showcases the amazing handcrafted work of local vendors. The Curated. Holiday Market is all about creativity. Curated was developed to emphasize the experience. This interactive 4 weekend long market features vendors from all over Western Canada; each week featuring 85 different vendors! This is the Christmas Market if you want vendor variety and an all-around, interactive experience. They will have on-site entertainment to get you in the holiday spirit, and free workshops for kids to let their creativity run wild as you explore the market.
Bragg Creek Artisans Christmas SaleWhere: Bragg Creek Centre, 23 White AveWhen: November 18 & 19Cost: Free admission
Escape the city for a gorgeous drive and a unique holiday shopping opportunity! The Bragg Creek Artisans Christmas Sale is in its 40th year, featuring over 65 local artists showcasing their own, personally handcrafted pieces of stunning art. Pottery, jewelry, paintings, woodcrafting, country crafts and so much more will be available. Admission and parking are both free for patrons, and Bragg Creek’s Country Kitchen will be serving a home-style lunch and satisfying snacks.
